Synopsis

As it is rightly said that “music is in the soul”, the movie Thunder Soul, centers on the journey of a struggling band that turned out to be the world’s music sensation. The movie belongs to the stream of the classical 70s, when jazz music was at its zenith. This miracle happened with the help of the magic wand of a music trainer, by the name of Professor Conrad Johnson. At the age of 32, Professor Johnson comes to a black high school in Houston, as a music trainer. There, he happens to see the poor and slightly mediocre attitude of the high school bands. This pushes him to do something to revive the lost soul of music in them. In order to do so, he introduces the melody of Jazz and contemporary funk in the tone. Apart from this, he also polishes the musical skills of the band members, with new compositions and original lyrics. To realize the dream of the band members, Conrad Johnson does it all and gives his heart to train them well. After being trained by him, the band becomes world famous and a favorite of thousands. The twist that enforces people to download Thunder Soul follows after a span of 35 years, when Conrad Johnson has turned 92. Now, the members of the band reunite to pay a tribute to their mentor. In fact, they do this out of their willingness to honor the hardships faced by Conrad Johnson to train the high school band and make them known to the world.
