Synopsis

Perhaps the most intriguing film of the Twilight franchise, New Moon explores several dimensions of the saga, including Bella’s pain after being separated from Edward, her growing friendship with Jacob Black, and finally, the emotional turmoil that she goes through, on Edward’s return.

The film starts with Bella celebrating her eighteenth birthday, during which she meets with a minor accident, causing her to bleed. Her blood provokes Edward’s brother, Jasper to attack her, and the disturbing turn of events causes Edward to leave town, along with his family, to protect Bella. Not knowing the reason behind his sudden departure, Bella begins to question Edward’s love for her, and sinks into a deep well of depression. However, Edward never really leaves her, and is always present as a warning vision, when she is about to get into any sort of trouble. The movie takes an interesting turn, with the introduction of a werewolf named Jacob, who goes on to become a very close friend of Bella. Bella finds the emotional solace that she so badly needs, in Jacob, and he slowly begins to fall in love with her.
