Synopsis

Some things in the past, which are thought to be long dead, sometimes, return to make a final blow; but it may come in a different form altogether. A stream of the movie, The Double, will bring the death of a US senator and an investigation on the killer. The pattern of the killing is pointing to a Soviet murderer, named Cassius, who was thought to be dead till now.

The case is handed to retired CIA official Paul Shepherdson. He has chased Cassius in the past too, but the resurfacing makes him doubtful about the whole setting. He is assisted by a young FBI agent, Ben Geary. Paul is sure about the demise of Cassius, but his former senior, Tom Highland, gives him the responsibility to look into the matter. While Paul is doubtful, Ben is sure that the dead has risen from the grave. He has studied Paul’s chase behind Cassius, and is aware of all the happenings. As the story grows, the duo starts leafing through the events of the past as well as the present, to find something peculiar. Soon, it appears that everything had been wrong, regarding Cassius, and he may be an entirely different man. This will bring a new angle into the story. Everyone surrounding the two officers falls under the radar.
