Synopsis

The movie Straw Dogs concentrates on a stream of thought that one would consider to be of the psychological thriller leaning. As the movie opens, we are made familiar with David and Amy Sumner. The former is a mathematician and holds a traditional outlook; while, Amy wants to be a liberated woman and likes to have a modernistic approach towards life. This is the basic reason of the fights between this otherwise lovely couple, that lives in the village of Wakely, Cornwall. In this regard, some workmen and Amy’s ex-lover show a high amount of resentment towards David. Now, on a bad day, the workmen and Amy’s ex-lover turn up on the isolated farmhouse, leaving David in a remotest area for hunting. Amy’s ex-lover and a workman rape her and leave Amy. Now, as David comes back from that desolate area where he had been dumped, he goes to attend a mass with Amy. While returning home, David hits a local, whom they take with them to their home. After sometime, David turns at the workmen, for not doing their task properly. This is the time that the villagers and workmen get really enraged. Many of them wander around David’s farmhouse, with Amy’s ex-lover, to locate Nile (the guy whom David hit). This is the real turning point that has driven viewers to download Straw Dogs, because David acts like a real hero, handling them all. He also happens to kill Tom, Cawsey and Charlie. The action and thrill part of the movie made it a rage over the internet, which is why several people are now choosing to watch Straw Dogs online.
