Red Tails is one of those movies, which will linger on with you for a long time. Directed by Anthony Hemingway, the film is an adaptation of a screenplay by John Ridley and Aaron McGruder, which is based on true events.
Set against the gloomy canvas of World War II, the film treads on the sensitive terrains of racial discrimination in the army. It takes us into the so far unknown depths of the experimental Tuskegee training program, with expert airman, Martin Julian at its helm. Martin and his army of black pilots have for years had to bear the brunt of discrimination, as they kept honing their flying skills in the background, while their white counterparts flew in grace to the warfront. As you watch Red Tails online, you’ll get to see this endearing army finally getting a chance to prove their mettle, in a riveting twist of events. This happens during the European war, in which the Allied Forces, Pentagon, is left with no other option, but to let these discriminated pilots step into the forefront and take control of a mission that no one else is daring enough to undertake.
They are required to escort the bombers in daylight, while ensuring their safety at all times. Col. A.J. Bullard turns to the black pilots, when the RAF steps back, dismissing the mission as too dangerous.
