Synopsis

The Taylors and the Watsons are two African-American families, which represent the two extremes of the socio-economic stratification. While the Taylors are a working class family in the downtown area, the Watsons are among the uptown elite. The two matriarchs of the families, Pam Taylor and Claudine Watson, are shocked by the sudden wedding announcement of their children, Jason Taylor and Sabrina Watson.

While Pam cannot stand the airs of the Claudine family, the Claudines feel like dragging the Taylors out of their pristine house. Both mothers constantly try to put the other one down and break off the wedding. Jason and Sabrina make several attempts to reconcile with their families, but this battle of the moms seems endless.
