Synopsis

Tyler Perry, in this self-scripted film, ventures into a man’s experience of never-ending conflict in choosing between his wants and expectations that people have from him. Success, in this strange world, often comes as a reward for someone, who meets expectations out of one’s self without fail, but the same success is often a price for giving up of one’s desires, which somehow remain within as unused residue.

No matter finances and prosperity stream into one’s life, there is this never ceasing restlessness. Wesley Deeds is one such prosperous and wealthy businessman, who has always ensured to meet each and every expectation out of him. He has done everything that has been expected from him from forever. Be it managing his father’s business, tolerating his misbehaved brother, or wed the super pretty yet restless Natalie, his fiancé. Wesley’s life moves on the same predictable lines, till he comes across this woman, Lindsey, a member of the cleaning crew at his workplace. 

She is a single mother, who has had a merciless life, and is out of luck at the moment. He is taken aback by her mental grit and her physical condition, as a result of which, he offers to help her get back to a livable condition with her kid. As we watch Good Deeds online, we find this one noble deed bestowing upon him an opportunity to exchange his stable life with an unstable one. It brings him a life that is lived on-the-edge, a life that, somewhere deep down within, he always wanted to experience.
