Synopsis

Beneath the Darkness is a tale that all lovers of horror will love and relish. The film centers on the character of Ely Vaughn, the mortician of a small town, played by the enigmatic Dennis Quaid. Ely is a revered figure in Smithville, Texas, and is still remembered for his successful stint as a high school footballer years ago.

However, he has turned into a mysterious, dark figure over the past years, and is the subject of hushed discussions and unvoiced questions. It turns out that his wife died under mysterious circumstances some two years back, and he has never been the same ever since. Four of these curious youngsters, Travis, Abby, Brian and Danny set off on a secret mission to unravel what no one could dare to go close to. They are left astounded when they peep into the widower’s house, as instead of seeing him mourning, they see him dancing with a woman, whose shadow they see.
