Synopsis

Beauty and the Beast 3D offers an incredibly refreshing twist to the age-old fairytale, giving it a new twist, not just in the story, but also in the technology applied to make it realer than ever. The film centers on an endearing young girl named Belle, who lives in a provincial town in France.

Belle is the proverbial ‘big fish in a small pond’, and is desperate to break free from the orthodox beliefs that dominate life in the town. She is the object of desire of an over-enthusiastic suitor in the town, a man named Gaston, who is initially the subject of most of the movie’s jokes, and later turns out to be its principal antagonist. The reason that Gaston gives for loving Belle is the simple fact that she is “the most beautiful girl in the town”, which makes her the best, and he believes that he definitely deserves the best.
