Armadillo is a war documentary, made by the brave director Janus Metz. Janus follows a troop of Danish soldiers, who are deployed in Afghanistan during the war against terrorism.
The documentary follows the journey of these soldiers from their homes in Denmark to Armadillo, which is the army post less than a kilometer away from Taliban, in Afghanistan. The movie commences with the bidding of farewell of the soldiers to their families and friends in Denmark. As the soldiers enter the most active war front in Afghanistan, the psychology of the soldiers is closely monitored; as it is a mixture of fear, anxiety and loneliness. However, the soldiers keep themselves occupied, by playing a lot of games and contacting their families in their free time. Along with this, Armadillo gives a closer look at the approaches used by these Danish soldiers, to get the local people in the vicinity, to co-operate with them and provide a stream of useful information to them. But the soldiers are not successful in converting the locals into valuable intelligence agents. On the other hand, the Taliban makes an unprecedented attack on the Danish base. Watch Armadillo online to see how the Danish soldiers retaliate and reciprocate the brutality of the Taliban. They discover that the Taliban is hiding in a trench just a few meters from their base. They bombard the trench and kill all the Taliban members invariably.
This is followed by an air attack. The success of this military operation finishes off the duties of the soldiers and they return back to their homeland. Download Armadillo to find out what it feels like to be on the actual warfront!
